    LAND AGENTS WANTED

LandAgent.ie sources suitably experienced Land Liaison persons to work for various Client companies across Ireland, and is now seeking multiple (part-time) Land Agents to work throughout all provinces.
Job Description

1. What we are seeking
  • Reliable, trustworthy individuals, with a background/ experience in the Agriculture sector, and who can work on their own initiative.
  • Individuals with real-life experience, so a degree or diploma is not essential.
  • Individuals who are available on a part-time basis, and who can commit a few days per week / per month to meet with multiple landowners on any given day, depending on the Project commitment, (i.e they have flexibility in their working week).
  • People who are comfortable approaching landowners, discussing Agri-aspects, and who understand that landowners have nurtured and cultivated their lands for many years, and need to be treated with respect. We are not seeking pushy, sales-driven individuals. There is no hard sell expectation.
  • Spoken & written English language is a standard request. Candidates should be comfortable receiving/ sending emails.
  • An appreciation of property registration maps /folios would be an advantage.
2. What we require the Land Agent to do
  • Represent various Client companies in a professional manner. (Note: You will be fully briefed in advance of each Project, and will liaise with our Land Manager throughout the work period on all client negotiations).
  • Bring land opportunities to various landowners for consideration, then assist the negotiation process up to landowner signing option & lease agreements.
  • Assist in supporting the community liason aspects, i.e meeting various neighbours and community representatives to explain the Project and its various benefits.

Typical projects may be future energy projects, such as onshore wind, solar farms, battery storage, or biogas projects. Other sectors may involve telecoms.

3. Duration of Time required on Projects

Depending on the size and type of project, (and so the number of landowners), you may be working for us in a part-time capacity, as follows:-

  • Small projects — a few days a week, for a couple of weeks (eg 2-4 weeks)
  • Medium-sized projects — a few days a week, for a few months (eg upto 8 weeks)
  • Large projects — a few days a week, for many months (eg upto 20 weeks)
  • 4. Renumeration
    • Attractive salary, dependent on experience and capabilities.
    • Travel expenses (as own transport is a requirement).
